The national college dropout rate in the United States is more than fifty percent. Fewer than half of the students who enroll in college will graduate and head toward the life of their dreams. The majority will leave college without a degree, and have nothing to show for it but an embarrassing entry on their resume and a four or five-figure student loan debt that will have to be repaid with wages from a less than desirable job.
A vast majority of students seem intellectually capable of succeeding in college but lack the practical skills that are necessary to do so. Too many students don’t realize that the workload in college requires a different approach than their high school work did. On the other hand, the high academic achievers tend to have a lot of behaviors in common.
